Slow Flow

Embracing mindfulness in an artful way

Fridays 10 am - 12 pm AST

Beginning in November 2025

In this online art therapy group, we’ll gather in a space of artful mindfulness. Together, we will explore the practice of slowing down in a fast-paced world. This is an invitation to welcome ease into daily life by co-creating a place for pause, reflection, and unconditional acceptance. No previous art experience is needed—just a willingness to explore.

We will explore ease and flow through guided artful mindfulness, reflective writing, poetry, and supportive somatic exercises.

This group is open to adults (18 +) and requires an intake meeting to register. Group size is intentionally small, with a limit of 6-8 participants. This group will have 8 Sessions at $45.00 per session for a total of $360.00. **To help keep our groups accessible, a subsidy program is available if this cost is out of reach. Simply send us an email with your request, and we’ll send a short form to get started.

Suggested art materials might include; watercolours, oil pastels, acrylic paints, drawing supplies of any kind, collage materials (recycled magazines and junk mail), found or recycled objects, scraps of textiles (old clothing), ethically sourced nature materials - or simply whatever creative materials you already have on hand.

Land Acknowledgement

I am living and learning on the traditional unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people. This territory is covered by the Treaties of Peace and Friendship first signed by the British Crown in 1726. These treaties were not about the surrender of lands and resources. These treaties recognize Mi’kmaq title and established an agreement for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations. As a French-Acadian, Irish and Scottish settler, I am learning what it means to be in right relationship to this land and all who reside here. I extend deep gratitude for the sacred wisdom and teachings that Indigenous peoples share, and appreciate the ways of respect and reciprocity for all beings.
